The brand, Befenchy House of Style

Befenchy House of Style or simply Befenchy is an outfit that started as Jewel Creations in 2010 when the creative director/CEO, Chichi Maduka was about to commence her masters programme in Business administration at University of Nigeria. In 2010, she started designing hand-made jewelry and from the love and acceptance her clientele had for her designs, she became more inspired to pursue her dream which was to build a brand that will stand out from similar brands. 

On completion of her masters programme and after acquiring more skills and knowledge in jewelry designing through a jewelry designer and a jeweler, Chichi decided to officially establish Befenchy by launching (showcasing and exhibition ) the Befenchy couture jewelry at the Nigeria Fashion Week, 2012. In the same year, Wardrobe and Fashion (Brand) Management Consultancy were added as services offered by the outfit.

Style to Befenchy House of Style simply means a standout; a distinguishing factor and this is the philosophy with which the brand operates. Befenchy couture jewelry are jewelry pieces that are exclusive, stylish and designed with quality materials: gems (corals, pearls, onyx, agate, crystals, etc), precious metals (gold and sterling silver), premium wires and findings and in the future, Befenchy will be incorporating other gems like emeralds, diamonds, etc in its jewelry designs.

We offer services that are second-to-none, helping our clients (individuals and companies) with the best possible image, brand identity, and strategies to sell their brands (personal and corporate).

Since the inception and launching of the brand, Befenchy Couture Jewelry collections which are produced on yearly basis have been very much loved by the clientele, and have also received patronage from celebrities and renowned personalities. A jewelry from our debut collection was featured in the 2013, Vol. 1, Issue 4 of Blackgold Mind Magazine.

With the recent radio interview of the creative director/CEO of Befenchy by 92.3 Inspiration FM Lagos on their 'Nigerian Women in Business Program', the sky seems to be the starting point of Befenchy House of Style. Below are some of the pictures that tell our story so far.

Being poised means that you are polished and professional, well-groomed, articulate and can communicate effectively. You are confident and are recognizable with no effort in any place you enter. A poised person is not flustered easily, can handle stress and unexpected situations calmly, professionally and properly. He/she does not engage in gossips or make unprofessional comments, does not flirt with co-workers, shows up on time, and has good work ethic. He/she is also honest, has integrity and takes responsibility for his/her actions. If you know where and how to find answers and can skillfully handle problem clients and staff, you are a poised professional.

Poised individuals easily climb to the top of their career ladder. They are loved by many and are usually sources of inspiration for other people. If you are poised, you ‘command’ respect from people anywhere you are and your colleagues will always rely on you for the right information.

I deemed it fit to feature in this article, an ace Nollywood actress and a poised personality, Vivian Anani also known as Lady V. Vivian Anani is an actress with great personality who has climbed to the peak of her career with so much grace and poise. The beautiful actress who hails from Cross river state was a TV personality before moving on to the movie industry and has been in the industry for a long time. Her first appearance was in the movie, Black Powder in 1997 and since then has featured in so many movies and TV soap operas and currently on location for another. In fact, she is always on location! Her attitude and poise definitely speak for her.

While some Nollywood actresses have one or two ‘funny’ stories linked to them, Lady V stands out; she is scandal-free. Coupled with her great personality and beauty is her high taste in fashion. She is always seen in classic dresses and accessories that spell style. She has also been spotted in jewelry pieces by Befenchy house of style.

She was recently honoured alongside other distinguished personalities by National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) with an award for her contribution to the development of the nation’s arts and culture in her field of endeavour.

Take a cue people! It pays to be polished and professional. A good personality will always be recognized in and outside his/her career. Move up! Be poised!

Michelle Obama: The inspiring first lady, the first lady of style!...

I have seen many first ladies, but Michelle Obama, the first lady of United States of America is one first lady that stands out. She is a first lady who inspires women, young and old. It is said that career women do not have time for their families but this woman has proved this wrong because even with her career as a lawyer and now a first lady, she's a committed wife and a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Malia and Sasha. When seen with her husband, one can see nothing but two beautiful people complementing each other. That's what marriage should be! She's not just a first lady that follows her husband around during official events, she is one who stands by him, supports him, and contributes to his success which the president, her husband loves her for and appreciates; chipping in one or two loving words of gratitude to her in some of his speeches. Mrs Michelle Obama is a woman to emulate and she is fashionable too! OMG! have you seen her styles? They are simply mind-blowing. The organizers of 2013 Oscars must have also noticed her high sense of style that they invited her to present via streaming video, the award for the best picture, an occasion she was seen clad in a glamorous metallic silver dress. That's what it should be. A first lady should be someone who every girl or woman sees and is inspired in several ways. Michelle Obama is a unique brand, a brand that inspires. THE BRAND Chichi Okonkwo: A delectable, hardworking movie producer and actress driven by passion for her career.

Passion and good image of oneself are very important elements in achieving success. Here, I feature a brand, the delectable Chichi Okonkwo, an upcoming Nollywood producer/executive producer and actress based in US, the communications manager of Nollywood croissance magazine who is very passionate about what she does.

Chichi is a fast-rising brand as she has already produced movies such as Wicked intentions which she starred in, Blind pursuit, My new dawn, Tears on my Pillow. She has just completed a new movie project and is currently on the set of another. This lady is hardworking! Need I say she’s got style in dressing! Always seen dressed to suit her body type in an elegant manner. Indeed she is fast-rising, a brand soaring high and driven by the passion for her job. Watch out! Go Chichi!
